Gyp Sea Beach

Niche Travel Guides

Situated on Saint-Jean beach overlooking the Caribbean sea, Gyp Sea beach has been a revelation since opened in December 2020, and has quickly established itself as the hottest new beach club in St Barths. This Bohemian-luxe beach club captures the essence of the island – the exquisite attention to detail can be seen throughout with different shades of blue to reflect the Caribbean Sea, handmade plates, coral-patterned fabrics and plenty of comfortable mismatched cushions. Gyp Sea was opened by the Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet group, who also own the luxurious Villa Marie hotel, which is one of the best boutique hotels on the island.

They also have a trendy bar where you can enjoy rum inspired cocktails along with tunes from the in-house DJ, and a designer boutique with a selection of unique items from around the world.

If you are looking for a private event in St Barth, Gyp Sea can organize anything from a special beach side evening party to brunch or a wedding dinner.

Its all about the barbeque at Gyp Sea beach – Seasonal, locally sourced dishes are roasted, smoked or grilled on the open wood-fired grill. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for with a variety of organic salads like cauliflower taboulé with mint, pomegranate and dukkah and the pampelonne salad with cucumber, feta and tomatoes.

A selection of mouth-watering fish and meat dishes are available on the menu. We particularly enjoyed the seared baby squids with Iberic chorizo and rice, the spiny lobster with lemon confit and the smoked prime rib with béarnaise sauce.

You can escape the comfort of your all day lounger to have a beachside Pure Coconut Ritual massage provided by the Hotel Villa Marie. For adrenaline seekers, we highly recommend trying a Seabob or Fliteboard, which Gyp Sea can arrange for you.

Keep an eye out for their special events, we can’t wait to join the monthly full moon Mexican party featuring tacos, live music and mezcal inspired cocktails.

Large dining tables with views of Gustavia harbour at Bonito St Barts

The first thing you will notice about Bonito is the view. Located on a hill in Gustavia, the restaurant enjoys an unbeatable panoramic outlook over the harbour.
