Shellona Beach

Niche Travel Guides

While St Barts has so many activities and excursions to enjoy, everyone looks forward to a chilled day by the ocean. Located on Shell Beach, Shellona is a fairly new addition to St Barts, but its chic interiors, comfy loungers and unique cocktails have already made a lasting impression – it’s now one of our favourite spots on the island. With a DJ or live music throughout the day until sunset, it is also a perfect choice for a group of friends looking for an extra special day in St Barts.

Originally from Athens Chef Yiannis Kioroglou specialises in delicious Greek Mediterranean dishes, sourced from the finest products he can find. For us Greek food is all about sharing – begin your feast with some Mezze, we recommend the grilled calamari, moules saganaki and some oysters. After a few more glasses of Rose, the charcoal grilled skewers hit the spot, you can choose between lamb, beef, chicken, or fish.

Reservations in advance are a must at this extremely popular beach club. Shellona Beach is one of the best places to catch the sunset in St Barts, so make sure you request a sunbed, order a Caribbean inspired cocktail, and wait for the show. After sunset, continue the party at Baz Bar in Gustavia (only a five minute walk) for some more Caribbean vibes and live music.
