Sand Bar Eden Rock

Niche Travel Guides

Following the recent renovations, the all-new Sand Bar opened in 2019, becoming the signature restaurant at the world-famous Eden Rock hotel. We love its laid-back beach-inspired décor, the spectacular views over Saint Jean Bay and the atmosphere – it’s always buzzing at the Sand Bar. Its one of the best restaurants in St Barts for a long lunch, in fact, its always our choice before we head to the airport on the final day of our holidays.

The menu is overseen by internationally acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants the world over. Kick start your meal with the crispy salmon sushi with chipotle emulsion and soy glaze or the refreshing watermelon and goats cheese salad. We can never resist the the famous black truffle and fontina pizza as a main course, or the wood fired St Barts lobster. Try and leave some room for the indulgent salted caramel ice cream sundae with popcorn, whipped cream, and hot fudge.

When you spend a leisurely lunch gazing at the water, you can’t help but want to take a dip. Visit Carib Waterplay and you can hire paddleboards, kayaks and windsurfing equipment. If you fancy a break from the sunshine, we recommend a stroll through the nearby St Jean Village, where you can lighten your wallet in the boutique shops. The Eden Being Boutique is worth a visit and is stocked with trendy fashion items – we love the Frescobol Carioca beach bats.
