Take an authentic Myconian cuisine cookery course

One of our favourite activities in Mykonos is to take a cookery course to learn the secrets behind cooking authentic Greek food, and there is nowhere better to do this that at Mykonian Spiti. ‘Spiti’ means home, and that’s how you are made to feel if you visit this special place.

The history of Myconian Spiti and Farm dates to 2012 when they established a farm where they grow organic produce and keep farm animals. They now run a wide range of activities based around traditional Greek cooking and their farm.

Greek food is famously all about sharing – and this extends to the recipes. Book a six-hour cookery class at Mykonian Spiti in Messaria and you’ll be welcomed with incredible stories, wine and local snacks, such as dakos (tomato and cheese topped barley rusks), before learning how to make tzatziki, spinach pie, orzo and more. You can even book a private class if you contact them directly.

Alternatively, you can simply be a guest at their dining table and experience local dishes cooked by your host Teta, such as louza (sun-dried pork fillets), Gemista (a traditional Greek dish with stuffed tomatoes, peppers and zucchini) prepared for you by host Teta. Relax into your evening with transport to and from your hotel included.
