When we think of Ano Mera, we picture spectacular white buildings with colourful shutters set against a bright blue sky – it’s a real feast for the eyes. Considering that Ano Mera is the second largest town on Mykonos, it’s also rather quiet. There are no wild parties here, instead, you’ll find the more subdued side to the island. It’s a place where you can enjoy a relaxed stroll around a castle or 16th century monastery, or simply sit back in a café and relax into the rhythm of island life. We come here to avoid the crowds and soak up the Greek culture in the shade. You could also choose to combine a visit to Ano Mera with a wine tasting nearby at Mykonos Vioma organic farm.
