S’illa Des Bosc

Niche Travel Guides

Nothing beats an Ibizan sunset and there are few places we would rather sit at twilight. Found set back from the beach at Cala Conta on the west coast of Ibiza, S’illa Des Bosc overlooks the uninhabited island that gives the restaurant its name. We love its relaxed attitude and late opening hours – and we are sure you’ll find the food as captivating as the views. We have featured S’illa Des Bosc in our list of our favourite sunset restaurants in Ibiza.

S’illa Des Bosc offers an extensive Mediterranean menu (and wine list!). They specialise in fish and rice dishes, so it’s the perfect place to indulge in a traditional paella feast or a whole baked seabass. Starters are designed for sharing; we recommend the Cantabrian clams in green sauce and the simply grilled Mediterranean prawns. Make it a cheat day by indulging in the chocolate fondant with white chocolate ice cream for dessert.

Call a few weeks in advance to request a table on the edge of the terrace for sunset. It’s a view that will be worth treating yourself to a bottle of champagne. After dinner we recommend drinks nearby at the iconic Sunset Ashram.
