Ses Boques

Niche Travel Guides

If you’re seeking authentic Ibicenco seafood close to the sea, we highly recommend a trip to Ses Boques. This traditional chiringuito serves the freshest fish the island has to offer. Surrounded by pine trees and with views over Es Cubells beach on the south coast of Ibiza, it’s the perfect place to escape the sun and enjoy a long, lazy lunch.

This family run restaurant always has a lively atmosphere and excellent service. Despite there being numerous exceptional seafood restaurants in Ibiza, Ses Boques is somewhere we return to on every trip to the island.

Seafood lovers will be thrilled to learn that the menu is determined by the daily catch, with ingredients sourced locally wherever possible. Owners Joan and Lourdes visit the local market each day to select the freshest seafood for the kitchen.

On our last visit, we enjoyed the grilled squid followed by by an incredible seabass that had been slow cooked in Ibizan salt, which is one of their specialities. Save room for their lemon cake as its the perfect way to finish the meal. They also feature in our list of the best paellas in Ibiza.

Our favourite table is by the water’s edge. Here you can relax with a Cava Sangria while you wait for your food. The wine list has also been carefully sourced to ensure it pairs perfectly with the seafood.
