Nothing beats a long lazy lunch, sipping on Spanish rosé and sharing freshly cooked seafood paella with friends, and it’s even better if you are right by the sea. We’ve scoured the island for the best places to enjoy this traditional dish. Tables at these spots are in high demand, and you’ll need to order your paella in advance if you’re travelling with a group.

Our favourite beachside paella spots in Ibiza:
Located directly on the beach on the south of Ibiza, Es Torrent is simply one of the best seafood restaurants in Ibiza. You can also rent sunbeds for the day, apart from the Paella the simply grilled squid and red Ibizan prawns are worth making the trip for. You need to ring them in advance to order your chosen Paella dish, we can highly recommend the “Blind Paella”, they remove all the bones and shells, without losing any of the flavour. In peak season you need to book a table a few weeks in advance.
Whether you book for a lazy beachside lunch or dinner with sunset the views of Es Vedrà – El Carmen, located on the west of Ibiza at Cala D’Hort, serve delicious seafood and a wide variety of Paella dishes (including a vegetarian version). Our tip is to request a table on the front row (especially for sunset) at this ever popular family run restaurant.
If you are seeking a traditional Ibizan restaurant to enjoy fresh seafood and Paella, then Ses Boques with views of Es Cubells beach is the perfect choice. It has been the scene for many a long lunch with groups of friends and family, don’t leave without sampling their Cava Sangria. They also have a delicious zesty lemon cake for dessert.
For thirty years this family run seafood restaurant has been serving its food to loyal clientele. This Ibiza institution is open all year round, in the warmer months you can spend the day on the beach (which is great for snorkelling). Save some room after the Paella to sample some of their home-made desserts and the famous boozy Café Caleta.
Head to the south coast of Ibiza to enjoy a seafood feast in this unspoiled part of the island. To accompany your Paella, we recommend speaking to the friendly staff who will recommend fish that has arrived that day, salt baked and served table side with a glass of chilled rosé – perfect!
Open all year round (even on Xmas day). Yemenja has been serving its famous Paella and Seafood for over 30 years to both locals and tourists. Located on the idyllic Cala Jondal beach close to the Blue Marlin beach club, we recommend the more contemporary mixed Paella with red shrimp, crayfish, clams, cuttlefish, crab and chicken.
