Salvia

Niche Travel Guides

Book a table at this countryside retreat for an outdoor dining experience surrounded by thousand-year-old olive trees. Located in the beautiful Ca Na Xica Hotel & Spa just outside San Miguel, Salvia is a nature-lover’s paradise. The exquisite Mediterranean menu focusses on (very!) locally sourced fare, with many of the ingredients sourced from the hotel’s own gardens.

Salvia offers, in our opinion, one of the best fine dining experiences in Ibiza. The restaurant serves Mediterranean food with an international twist. There are so many delicious dishes to choose from, but the dishes cooked in the Josper oven are always amongst the highlights on the menu. Choose from tempting dishes such as Kataifi langoustines with mango chutney or “Broken farm eggs” with lobster, Iberian ham, and truffle oil to start the meal. Main courses are a selection of pasta, fish, and meat dishes. The wild sea bass cooked in the Josper with stewed vegetables showed the skills of the kitchen as the fish was cooked perfectly. Dessert lovers will be unable to resist the homemade lemon cake with Italian meringue and Stracciatella ice cream.

We recommend booking on a Saturday night, when the live jazz and acoustic band is performing. And arrive early, you’ll want time to walk around the gardens before dinner, with a cocktail in hand.
