La Era Ibiza

Niche Travel Guides

La Era is an exciting new restaurant that opened up in 2023 and is nestled in the picturesque countryside between Ibiza Town and Santa Eulària des Riu located at the agroturismo Aguamadera. This innovative restaurant prides itself on its wood fire grill, carefully sourcing ingredients from local producers whenever possible and frequently using vegetables from its own garden.

At the helm is executive chef Gonzalo Cerrato Laguna, whose diverse culinary background includes stints in London’s renowned Barrafina restaurant and various locations in Mexico. His philosophy centers on extracting the utmost flavor from premium ingredients, masterfully cooked over an open flame.

The ambiance at La Era is laid-back and inviting, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking a memorable dining experience on the island.

La Era restaurant welcomes diners for both lunch and dinner, even during Ibiza’s winter months. The menu is ever-changing, spotlighting the freshest seasonal ingredients. To start your meal, consider the carrots from their own garden with sobrasada, orange, cream cheese and gremolata or the roasted leeks with island goat labneh, garden herbs and pistachios.

The menu offers a mouthwatering selection of dishes. For the main course, we recommend indulging in the pork belly, mojo verde, dried apricots and demi-glace. The beef chop, expertly grilled over an open flame, is perfect for sharing between two or three people.

Make sure you save some room for the exquisite cheesecake with fig marmalade.

La Era resides in a stunning 19th-century finca. The property features a spa, distinctive rooms and suites, and offers weekly yoga sessions. During the warmer months, guests can stroll through the grounds and enjoy a cocktail outdoors while watching the sunset.

La Luna Nell’ Orto

We discovered La Luna Nell’ Orto in 2021, and we wish we had found it earlier, as it really is a hidden gem in Ibiza. You can find the restaurant in Sant Miquel in the north of the island.
