We discovered La Luna Nell’ Orto in 2021, and we wish we had found it earlier, as it really is a hidden gem in Ibiza. You can find this restaurant in Sant Miquel in the north of the island.

Part of the charm of the restaurant lies in its history, it is housed in the walls of Can Partit which is over 600 years old and provides the perfect setting for you to enjoy their creative dishes.

The restaurant is owned and run by Daniel and Adrian Diaz, along with their friend Mario, and has now been established in Ibiza for 10 years. You can see the passion they have for their restaurant in the attention to detail throughout, and with the excellent service they always offer their customers. The charming outside terrace under the fig tree is the perfect location to enjoy those long summer Ibizan nights.

Everything on the Mediterranean inspired menu at La Luna Nell’ Orto is focussed on flavour. Each dish has been created by sourcing the highest quality seasonal ingredients, locally when possible, and with produce from their own gardens.

Every day they bake their own bread and focaccia in their stone oven, and make their delicious pasta dishes from scratch, to go along with a selection of meat and fish dishes.

On our last visit we started with an inventive burrata salad with tomato ice cream and rocket pesto, and the aubergine parmigiana which was one of the best we’ve tasted.

For main courses, we thoroughly enjoyed both the squid ink tagliatelle with monkfish and prawns and the mouth-watering lamb shoulder with roasted vegetables.

We couldn’t resist finishing the meal with the lemon pie and a selection of home-made ice creams.

Make an evening of it and arrive for aperitifs in their garden bar, we recommend the cherry negroni and the mezcal margarita on the rocks.
