Find your dream beach

If you’re planning a trip to Mykonos, you’re probably already aware that it’s home to some of the world’s most incredible beaches. What you might not know, is that each beach has its own vibe. Carefully choosing where to book your sunbed will make all the difference, because Mykonos really does have a beach for everyone.

Our pick of the best beaches in Mykonos:

Family friendly

When shallow waters, plenty of restaurant choices, handy facilities and comfy sunbeds are a top priority, head to the popular Ornos beach in the south of the island. We recommend Apaggio for lunch.

Action packed

Love water sports? Make sure you visit Elia Beach, the longest sandy beach on the island. Here you can parasail, water ski, wakeboard or just zoom around the bay on the flying fish. Enjoy a feet in the sand lunch at Elia.

Parties in paradise

If you’re seeking a lively atmosphere as the sun goes down, you’ll want to be on Paradise beach. Reserve your table at Tropicana and party the night away.

Total escapism

If you want to truly escape the crowds, then drive (or book a transfer) to the northern tip of the island. Here you’ll find Fokos, a secluded bay where you’ll find few sunbathers and even fewer sunbeds. Bliss. We recommend the Fokos Taverna for an authentic Greek lunch.

Lazy lunches

Sometimes you just want to chill in the shade and for that we recommend both Avli Tou Thodiri and Yialo Yialo for a long lunch on Platis Gialos Beach. You can even hire their sun loungers for the day.

Swimmers Paradise

For an idyllic beach that is perfect for swimming in Mykonos we recommend Kalo Livadi beach, which is on the south east of the island. With shallow crystal-clear waters, this sandy beach is also perfect for families. While you are there you won’t be able to resist a long lunch at the super cool Solymar.
