Le Sereno

Niche Travel Guides

With crystal clear waters, a coral reef and turtles just a flipper kick away, Le Sereno St Barts has the ultimate beachfront setting. On arrival, you’re greeted by enormous coconut palms, a spectacular infinity pool and views out across the bay – and not another hotel in sight.

Whether you’re seeking a romantic hideaway for your honeymoon or a week relaxing in understated luxury, you’ll find paradise at this five-star hotel, which was ranked the 3rd best resort in the Caribbean by Conde Nast in 2020.

The evening begins with a signature cocktail at Le Sereno Bar. We refreshed our palate with the ‘Carry on’, made from a dash (or two!) of Plantation 3 Stars White Rum, spicy strawberry syrup, coconut liqueur, passion fruit and lime. Next, we were seated in Le Sereno Al Mare, the hotel’s Italian restaurant. With so many ‘deliziosi’ plates to try, we could simply tell you to make your way through the entire menu, but it’s definitely worth sampling the vitello tonnato, the linguini with clams and the veal Milanese with tomato salad. It’s a good thing that there are 39 newly renovated suites for you to roll back to at the end of the night.

Every Monday, the hotel hosts an Aperitivo Night at Le Sereno Beach restaurant. Make your way to the beach at 7pm for live music and plenty of cocktails.

The hotel is located on the beach at Grand Cul de Sac, where the sand actually sparkles – believe us, it’s as magical as it sounds. We are more than happy to spend the day relaxing in this beachfront setting, cocktail in hand, only peeling away from our sun beds to make the most of the hotel’s spa. Speaking of which, Le Sereno is home to what might just be the most beautiful spa on the island. With the only beachfront treatment room in St Barts, when you’re not relaxing face down on a massage table, you can take in the sweeping views of the bay. Bliss!

Le Sereno St Barts has many beautiful rooms, but we highly recommend the Villa Du Pecheur. With a king-size four poster bed, large soaking tub, private pool, and its own garden overlooking the ocean, this villa has everything you need to indulge in private luxury. We think it’s the perfect bolt hole for a honeymoon or romantic escape.
