Le Toiny

Niche Travel Guides

Welcome to paradise. As the name suggests, Hotel Le Toiny is located close to Toiny Beach towards the east of the island. Nestled within 42 acres of palm trees, this exclusive hotel has just 22 suites plus one of the most stylish infinity pools we’ve ever leapt into. But this isn’t your typical luxury hotel. Instead of posers, you have privacy, while the dining (though impressive) isn’t stuffy – in fact, it’s hopelessly romantic, which makes it perfect for a wedding or honeymoon in St Barts. Le Toiny is one of the best hotels in the Caribbean.

As the evening draws in grab one of the iconic pink bar stools, chat to the bartender and you’ll soon be sipping a bespoke cocktail.

Dinner at Jarad at Le Toiny is one of the best fine dining experiences in St Barts. Poolside tables and views of the Caribbean Sea make it an unforgettable night. The head chef, Jarad McCarroll was recently voted the best chef in the Caribbean by the Gault Millau guide. Trust us and go for the gourmet tasting menu.

There really is nothing quite like enjoying a dip in your own private pool, and every room at Le Toiny features this most luxurious of amenities. For us, the Signature Suites have the edge. With your own kitchenette, breath-taking sea views, a heavenly bathtub and spacious terrace, it’s your sanctuary from the stresses of daily life. Take a look, but be prepared to be tempted.

Hop into the hotel’s 4×4 and head to Le Toiny’s boho-inspired beach club. It only opened in 2016 and has quickly established itself as one of the best beach clubs in St Barts. This is the sort of place where you can rock up in a kaftan (purchased in the hotel’s boutique) and relax in a hammock with a glass of rosé. For lunch, feet in sand under the palm trees, you can enjoy a variety of freshly grilled fish and meat, salads, and sandwiches.

If you’re feeling more energetic, there’s surfing down at the beach, while the gym boasts treadmills with an ocean view. We feel a wellness break coming on. Directly accessible from the Beach Club is the indulgent Serenity Spa. You can choose from a variety of Elemis Treatments – our favourite is the hot stone (shell) massage.

The ring of the doorbell on your private suite signalling your breakfast has been delivered poolside, the perfect way to start your day in St Barts.
