Put simply, Sale e Pepe offers the finest Italian food on the island. Owner Ivan Ottaviani opened the gourmet restaurant in 1991 and since then, it’s earned a reputation for warm and friendly service and outstanding wines (at last count, there were over 1500 to choose from).
Regional Italian specialities and wine alongside traditional antipasti, handmade pastas, meat and fish dishes. We can never resist the fresh pasta, although the prime ribeye for two from Tuscany is always a contender – and who can say no to a traditional tiramisù for dessert?
Sale e Pepe is just a few minutes’ walk from the famous Sunken Watermelon cocktail bar at Hotel Belvedere, so it’s definitely worth dropping in for a pre-dinner cocktail.
The venue is a regular haunt for celebrities, and you’ll find them taking part in yoga classes, sipping on world-class cocktails or joining the bohemian revolution through sacred music rituals.
Located on one of the best beaches in Mykonos, Elia Beach is one of those beach restaurants where you can really lose track of time.
You’ll find Hippie Fish on Agios Ioannis beach (just look for the giant wooden sculpture outside) and you can easily spend an entire day here.
